James 1- 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

1. Wisdom Makes the Complete Believer:

Definition of wisdom: Using knowledge and experience to discern, judge rightly, and make good decisions.

Applications of wisdom: skills, dealing with conflict, administration, understanding philosophy and science.

James 1:2-4: Find joy in trials because testing of faith produces perseverance.

2. The Need for Wisdom:

Wisdom prevents frittering away opportunities.

It's necessary to discern prayer needs and actions.

God's wisdom is needed to understand the fall out of people's actions.

3. God's Willingness to Share:

2 Chronicles 1:7, 10-12: God was pleased with Solomon's request for wisdom.

Proverbs 3:5-6: The Lord wants to guide us through all circumstances.

Adversity can mature your faith.

4. God's Guidance is for the Repentant:

Isaiah 30: The Lord guides those who turn from sin.
Isaiah 30:18: The Lord waits to be gracious.
Isaiah 30:20-21: God will provide guidance when you turn to Him.
